I got into this industry by working construction (industrial painting/finish carpentry). Construction is transitory in nature and not at all stable work so I went to work as an automotive parts delivery driver. Wanting to make more money I moved up to the counter and found that I loved selling parts as much as I loved building cars. The ability to look up any parts and locate any parts was an additional bonus as I am always working on something.
